As I said in the title, if you only ever buy one, get this one! It was delivered really quickly and has maintained consistantly great results every time! I read in the reviews that some customers have had trouble with the 'add in door' dropping down as soon as stuff is added, but I have never had this trouble so it may have been a 'batch thing or beed rectified by Panasonic. I have made several different types of bread since buying it and all have turned out great, straight from the book that came with it. I've not just made dough or cakes/jams yet but that is on the cards.

All in all, VERY easy to use straight from the box, excellent results, well worth the money.

As a note here, I do think the Panasonic is a little expensive but you certainly get what you pay for!

I am simply stunned at the size and quality and uniform texture and above all TASTE of the loaf I have produced on the first go with this machine. It is just superb. I used Allinson strong flour and yeast and it is quite probably the best straightforward simple white bread that I have ever eaten. I am in serious danger of eating the whole loaf.

Who would have thought that just flour, yeast, butter, sugar, salt and water could taste this good? The crust is thin and crispy without being chewy, and the inside is beautifully light and fluffy and moist (without being at all sticky), and uniform. It has risen beautifully, with a lovely rounded top.

Excellent machine, have not bought a loaf of bread since having it. Having all the recipes for lots of different bread types is really great and experimenting with these recipes is good fun. The machine is really easy to use and perfect bread everytime knowing exactly what you are eating. Would recommend to anyone thinking of a bread maker.

I have purchased 3 bread makers ,the first two were junk in comparison to the Panasonic SD-2501WX. The bread came out like bricks & were always dissapointing. But this machine is something else ......like from another planet....I have used it quite a number of times & the results are superb every time.I left out a key ingredient from the loaf one time but the resulting loaf was ok even after my mistake.

The different types of bread the machine makes is great & I have even adjusted some of the receipes to suit my taste & the bread came out perfect, I would recommend this machine to anyone who wants to make their own bread it really works 100%. The delivery of the machine from Amazon was great too.

You get what you pay for in this world and the Panasonic SD-YD250 is a perfect example. Quiet as a mouse. No jumping around the counter and whining and improperly mixing as a Breadman we purchased (and returned) did.

Had another Panasonic for 8 years. Decided to replace it when the pan seal failed and we checked out the cost of a replacemtnt pan (not realizing we could replace just the paddle mechanism/seal.)

Thought we could get by on the cheap with the Breadman. Wrong. If you are looking for a rock solid, flexible unit that turns out a perfect loaf time after time (up to 2.5 lbs), this is your bread machine. The automatic yeast dispenser is a great feature, particulary if you use the timer. Spend the [money].

Lasted 18 years - Buying another

Even with use at least twice a week, this one held up. Bought my first at Marshall Fields in Chicago...Now, after 18 years, the circuitry in the heating element finally gave up the ghost. Not to worry. This has held up better than any others I know of - from friends who purchased other manufacturers. Highly recommended.
